Dena and Witch must bring in one of the largest and toughest tokotas on their land. The Ghost. They must choose to either leave it behind and go home empty handed, or prove Witch's dominance and gain the old soul's respect

 S T O R Y  -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Dena looked down into the canyon. She could see the giant white figure looming about the riverside. It was a massive beast; one of very few albino dire's around in the area. He was followed by a small band of bachelor males all ranging in color and size. Witch let out a low grumble as Dena moved her away from the edge. If she alerted them too soon, they would take off and they would lose their only chance at the Ghost. They only had a very short time frame to nab the pack and get them moving. If Dena didn't make a decision soon, they wood go off onto the other side of the river. She took in a deep breath and clicked her tongue, sending Witch shooting down the side of the canyon. It took the pack all of about twenty seconds to realize they were coming towards them but it was too late for them to run off anywhere; Witch was already too close. 

    The big pale dire turned to face them as the rest scurried off to hide away. He was much larger than they orginally assumed. He towered over Witch. Dena's body tensed as a low growl bellowed out of Witch, her mane standing up as she bared her teeth at the massive male. Dena's heart sped up as the male lifted his head and growled down at them. Jesus christ what have we gotten into. Witch lifted her head high and growled at him once more. Lifting her tail in dominance, she let out another growl, baring her teeth at him once more. Dena glanced to her right to see the other of his bachelor band coming out of the shadows. This could either go wonderful or go horrible. There was no inbetween. Dena was caught of guard when the giant dire lunged forward and roared at them. She was sure Witch would have given up but instead she roared back up at him and shoved into his chest. Dena turned pale as she clung to the saddle. She should have hopped off sooner but it was too late how, the battle for dominance had already begun. 

    Dena clung to the saddle with her life as the two moved around each other. Witch wouldn't get too violent with her in the saddle, but that didn't mean she wouldn't be brutal. She roared loudly, making Dena's ears ring as the giant dire moved around her. The others had moved out of the shadows completely to watch their leader. She watched as the dire's posture changed and she smiled. His tail was down and his head was lower than Witchs. This is good. Dena clicked her tongue and signaled for Witch to move. She stood up higher, lifting a bit off of her front legs and watched as the giant male dire lowered down submissivly. They'd won.

    He slipped down slowly, lowing her head to the ground and tucking his tail between his legs. The others moved in closer as Witch let out a deep, loud howl that tore through the entire canyon and gave Dena chills. She moved forward and stepped into the creek. To get out of there, they would have to cross it but she wasnt sure the others would follow. Witch let out a low grumble and lifted her tail higher and the dire began to follow. Dena turned to see the rest following them as well. They were further back but they were definitely following. Dena smiled and patted Witch's scruff.

    "Congrats girl, you did it."
